The Check Foundation recently presented The Summit School with a check for $12,000 to purchase technology equipment for the school's '8th Grade Hub.' The donation allowed The Summit School to buy and install a SmartBoard, two LCD projectors, two sets of speakers, mounts, an audio/video switch and necessary cabling. Pictured are, from left, Jane R. Snider, executive director of The Summit School, and representing The Check Foundation are Suzanne Reese, director of marketing, and Christy South, treasurer. The Check Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to serve and support the communities in which Towne Park (www.townepark.com) associates live and work. The foundation's charitable focus is children in need — specifically with education. The Summit School is a not-for-profit day school located in Edgewater that serves bright students with dyslexia and other learning differences. |
