Take a pass on aging turkey, stuffingPublished 11/28/09
Leftover turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing may still be tasty now, but if you're eating them into next week you could be putting yourself at risk for illness. This is the time of year when refrigerators are loaded with Thanksgiving leftovers, but it's best not to hold on to them too long. In fact, the county Health Department has issued a series of guidelines for dealing with remaining food, including advice to keep leftovers no more than four days. The department's Housing and Food Protection Program also advises cooks to refrigerate stuffing and turkey separately and to cook or freeze poultry, fish or ground...
