Before dawn today, the Mayo 9-year-old and his dad, J.P. Howard, headed out to hunt. It's Joey second Christmastime hunt, and the first with his own 20-gauge shotgun, which he got for his birthday last summer.
Depending on which of two locales the Howards end up at, the intended targets will either be geese or ducks.
