Passions are unique to humans and are one of those "unnatural qualities" that separate us from animals. As is Mozart's music, a sublimation of energies that were preserved for that higher pursuit. Finding the cause for the loss of that inspiring force that lifted us from gross sensualism and gave us a window to the divine enables us to understand and respect our humanity in its more perfect form. Thank you for that inspiration.
