help for homeless families - 2010-03-02 08:21:54

While the Lighthouse is a truly worthwhile program, it is not the only shelter in the county to offer such services. Sarah's House, located near Fort Meade, serves 125 homeless men, women and children every day. Sarah's House offers emergency shelter and transitional housing, individualized case management, employment assistance and transportation, as well as an on-site day care center with a variety of programs devoted to the special needs of homeless children.
Both Lighthouse and Sarah's House exist to give homeless and hurting families the resources for a better tomorrow, and are only able to do with our support.
