As part of her annual Oscar awards special, Barbara Walters recently interviewed actress Sandra Bullock, who starred in the movie "The Blind Side" about Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher. When asked what she would do if her chief competitor, Meryl Streep, won the acting award over her, Bullock replied, "I'd beat the --- out of her!"
Of course, Bullock was kidding, but her reply is representative of our current society, where it sometimes seems that we have lost our ability to be civil toward others.
It appears that people from all walks of life have lost their desire or even their ability...
