Just call him Doug, or Q-Ball, a nickname he acquired many years ago as a tribute to premature balding. Never refer to him Douglas or, even worse, Mr. Barber. It just doesn't fit with someone who used to belong to a biker club called Dirt That Moves and built his own matte black motorcycle from a kit.
"Douglas is only when I'm in trouble and Mr. Barber will put fear in my heart," the Rose Haven resident joked recently.
