The Fabulous Four - 2010-07-26 16:22:55
Although I do like other music and musicians, I must say that I have been a FFFF fanatic since we saw them live at the old Cafe Charmont in Juarez, Mexico in 1955. This was group 2 with Ken Errair, et al. Even his wife-to-be, Jane Withers, made an appearance that marvelous evening. We have attended any number of Freshmen concerts and, while well attended here in El Paso, TX, we may be the only FF Society members in town. It isn't as easy to get around these days althought we did manage to see the FFFF this past April in Scottsdale, AZ. I have often said that I wanted to grow old with the Freshmen. Quite remarkably, I HAVE gotten old but the Freshmen remain forever young and vibrant. Their remarkable musical sound is part of my soul these days. May they go on forever.
