Is it possible to "max" out Medicare hospital coverage? Medicare Part A is your hospital coverage. It is very rare to see someone "max out" this benefit. Medicare allows 90 inpatient days per benefit period. (We'll get back to a benefit period later). During these 90 inpatient days, 2010 Medicare charges are: days 1-60 will have a deductible of $1100 and no daily co-payment; days 61-90 have a $275 per day...
