Mens' basketball: Hoyas top Navy, 72-49, before 4,104Published 11/19/05
Navy's basketball season opener was a success on one level. A raucous crowd of 4,104 turned out to see Navy challenge Georgetown, the first national-level opponent to play at Alumni Hall since Wake Forest in 1999. A large throng of Midshipmen showed up, creating the type of atmosphere second-year head coach Billy Lange wants to see on a regular basis. Things didn't go quite as well on the court, where 7-foot-2 center Roy Hibbert led Georgetown to a commanding 72-49 victory.
