Men's basketball: Navy captain stretches limits as injuries mountPublished 01/31/06
It's interesting to watch what happens when the Navy basketball team takes the court. While teammates form a layup line, senior center Matt Fannin walks to the baseline accompanied by two trainers and begins a unique pregame ritual. For the next 10 minutes, Fannin goes through an arduous series of stretching exercises. With the help of head trainer Ed Davis, the broken down team captain stretches the hamstrings and the quads then loosens up the back and the Iliotibial Band.
