Lacrosse: Navy labors with weight of Army's streakPublished 04/14/06
In a rivalry defined by its back-and-forth nature, Navy's current winning streak against Army in men's lacrosse is surprising. The Midshipmen have beaten the Black Knights in nine straight meetings dating back to 1997. That means every Navy senior since 2000 has graduated without losing to the archrival. "That means a lot. Nobody wants to be part of the team that allows the streak to end," Navy senior midfielder Steve Looney said.
