As a sophomore at Friendswood High in Texas, Trey Stanton was a 6-foot-3 guard good enough to make varsity.
Stanton then grew seven inches over the next years, transforming into a highly-skilled 6-10 forward and a Division I prospect.
"Trey is a special kind of player. He went through a dramatic growth spurt and became a big man with little man skills," Friendswood coach Darren Chandler said.
Stanton headlines a six-man recruiting class for the Naval Academy basketball program. He chose the Midshipmen over service academy rival Air Force and Patriot League member Colgate among others.
