Tough, intelligent, strong, team-oriented… those are traits that describe the Navy lacrosse team's defense.

Those four adjectives also aptly apply to senior defenseman and team captain Andrew Dow.
So it goes without saying that Dow, a product of Hauppauge High on Long Island, has proven a perfect fit for the playing style and philosophy that has made Navy's defense one of the finest in Division I for the better part of a decade. Dow isn't flashy and he's not interested in garnering individual attention. He's a blue-collar type of player that prefers to operate in the trenches while doing his part as one cog in the overall...
