LAKE BUENA VISTA, Calif. - Navy baseball right-handed pitcher Mitch Harris became the second player in program history selected by a Major League Baseball franchise when he was picked in the 24th round by the Atlanta Braves during the First-Year Player Draft yesterday afternoon. Find Us On Facebook
Harris, this year's 738th pick, is the first Navy junior to be drafted in program history and the first Midshipmen player selected in the MLB draft since Matt Foster in 2003. Foster was taken in the 13th round by the Toronto Blue Jays following his four-year career in Annapolis.
