Multiple news outlets that cover Big East schools have reported that conference officials engaged in "discussions" with both Navy and Army about becoming associate members for football only.
"There has been no substantive dialogue with the Big East. I have stated on many occasions that independent status suits Navy quite well for football and that remains the case today," Gladchuk said.
