Naval Academy football coach Paul Johnson dropped a bombshell after practice yesterday, announcing that two defensive starters - inside linebacker Clint Sovie and free safety Jeff Deliz - will be undergoing surgery today and will be out for the entire season. Â Up until yesterday, Sovie and Deliz had been listed as "doubtful" for Saturday's home opener against Ball State. Both were injured during the Rutgers game and have been hobbling around on crutches ever since.
