Navy retaining pair of key cogs on coaching staff

Newly named Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo confirmed yesterday afternoon that two key assistants - Buddy Green and Ivin Jasper - have agreed in principle to remain with the program.

Niumatalolo informed the media after practice that Green will maintain his post as defensive coordinator while Jasper has been promoted to offensive coordinator. A formal announcement will be made once both men signed renegotiated contracts.

 

Several other assistants have decided to remain at the academy and Niumatalolo said Scott Strasemeier will likely issue a press release announcing all the hires by week's end.
