Mid-American Conference commissioner Rick Chryst said the replay official who made an incorrect ruling in the Poinsettia Bowl would be punished, but declined to specify how.
In his first public comments on the incident since the Dec. 20 game between Navy and Utah, Chryst told The Capital on Monday the official could face a wide range of sanctions from a formal reprimand to a loss of future games.
