Navy program gets jump on opposition with Griffin proving her diving pointPublished 01/25/08
Katie Griffin knew a long time ago that she wanted to attend the Naval Academy. She was also determined to be a member of the diving team.

Senior diver Katie Griffin has compiled a 26-0 record this season to help Navy to a 12-1 record in dual meets.It was some of her closest supporters who weren't so sure that was the best plan for the Ellicott City native. Even her mother expressed reservations about her daughter giving up softball to focus on diving. "My track coach said 'nobody will ever recruit you for diving,' " Griffin recalled this week.
