The Naval Academy hockey team was able to open the new McMullen Hockey arena, but lacked the discipline to bring home its 11th Crabpot Trophy in the 31-year existence of the tournament.

Three power play goals, one with a two-man advantage, powered Towson University to a 4-1 victory over the Midshipmen in the 31st Annual Crabpot Tournament. The win was the Tigers' third championship effort since 1999, with the last being in 2000.
