The best way to beat the Bucknell baseball team is to do it early.
Navy seemed well on its way to doing just that yesterday in the first game of the best-of-three series to determine the Patriot League champion. However, the visiting Bison erased a five-run deficit to tie the game, then scored the go-ahead run in the ninth to defeat the Mids, 7-6, at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.
Navy (32-24-1) will have to regroup in a hurry, as Game 2 is scheduled for today at noon. If the Mids are able to win, then the third and deciding game of the series will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2. The winner...
