Navy's Meade happy to stay putPublished 06/17/08
Naval Academy men's lacrosse coach Richie Meade confirmed yesterday that he spoke with athletic officials at the University of North Carolina about that school's head coaching vacancy. North Carolina asked for and received permission to speak with Meade last week. Meade traveled to Chapel Hill, N.C. to meet with athletic director Dick Baddour and termed the discussions exploratory on both sides. No job offer was ever made, he said.
