Navy's basketball program picked up a verbal commitment this week from Troy King, a 6-foot-7 forward from St. John's Catholic Prep in Frederick. King averaged 18.9 points and 5.8 rebounds last season for St. John's, which plays in the highly competitive MIAA A Conference. The Damascus native has a reputation as an outstanding 3-point shooter, having connected on 44.6 percent of attempts from beyond the arc as a junior.
