Bryant on track for QB startPublished 11/07/08
It appears that Navy's revolving door of quarterbacks will continue. Just when you think you've got the situation figured out, it changes. Capital sports writers Dave Broughton and Bill Wagner chat about Navy's upcoming game against Notre Dame.
Jarod Bryant took all the snaps with the first team offense during practice yesterday and head coach Ken Niumatalolo said the senior captain would likely start against Notre Dame. It would be the sixth start this season for Bryant, who has rushed for 440 yards and six touchdowns, passed for 265 yards and another two scores. Bryant suffered a sprained shoulder against SMU and was not available to play quarterback against Temple. He did serve as the holder on place kicks during the...

Coach what's the problem! - November 10, 2008
Niumatalolo keeps making the comment that, Dobbs is still missing reads and making some serious mental mistakes. However, is making a difference in this program. Can Niumatalolo see what he has on his team. He keeps making this same statement but Dobbs doesn't get enough playing time in the game to learn or correct any of Niumatalolo suggested errors. Dobbs has to fight each time to make something happen. I know that you are trying to give the seniors their time but it should be about who can get the job done! Dobbs brings fire and excitement to the game. Dobbs has skills, let him show them!

Navy/Ricky Dobbs - November 10, 2008
What is Ken Niamaultololo thinking about. He admitted that he brought Kaipo back to early and that only made his injury worse. Now he's going to bring Bryant back because he's determined to play. There's nothing wrong with him being determined but if he is really not better it's going to show very early in the game. It seems like Coach Ken has a problem starting the sophmore quarterback over the 2 seniors. I don't think its fair to Dobbs to be continuously brought into the game when the team is down and have to fight there way back. I think he should definitely be the starter in this game. We will definitely see him in action at some point in the Notre Dame game.
