BALTIMORE - When the Navy football team looks back on yesterday's game with Notre Dame, three missed opportunities in the first half will stand out.

The Fighting Irish were coming off an embarrassing performance on national television last Saturday night at Boston College where they turned the ball over five times in a 17-0 loss. They turned the ball over three more times in the first half yesterday, but Navy couldn't capitalize and Notre Dame built a big lead in the second half and held on for a 27-21 win in front of a sellout crowd of 70,932 at M&T Bank Stadium.
