DEKALB, Ill. - Quarterback Ricky Dobbs made a successful starting debut thanks to a big assist from the Navy defense.

Dobbs rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown while defensive backs Rashawn King and Emmett Merchant made clutch interceptions as Navy shut out Northern Illinois 16-0 last night before 17,932 at Huskies Stadium. Dobbs became just the sixth quarterback in program history to surpass 100 yards rushing in his starting debut.
