Head coach Billy Lange said all the close games the Navy men's basketball team played during the non-conference portion of the schedule would help against Patriot League competition.

That certainly proved to be the case last night. Locked in a tight battle with visiting Bucknell, it was Navy that made the plays down the stretch necessary to secure the victory. Senior swingman Kaleo Kina scored 24 points to lead four players in double figures and Navy played outstanding defense from start to finish in beating Bucknell 71-67 in the Patriot League opener for both teams last night before 2,600 fans at Alumni...
