Navy falls short of upsetting Ohio State in Columbus, 31-27.
Quarterback Ricky Dobbs led a furious fourth quarter rally that gave Navy a chance to tie the score and force overtime against sixth-ranked Ohio State. However, Dobbs had a two-point conversion pass intercepted by linebacker Brian Rolle, whose 99-yard return gave the Buckeyes two points and a heart-stopping 31-27 victory over the Midshipmen.
"The linebacker did a great job of reading Ricky's eyes and made a great jump on the ball," Navy head coach Ken...

Dobbs made us proud! He did and excellent job, considering it was he first time out as a starting QB for Navy this season with the number six team in country. Personally, I feel that the defense dropped the ball on this game. They were not doing their job at the start. The Navy as a whole were moving slow, no get-up & go! I don't feel that Dobbs should take the blame for the lost. The coach's make the calls...and everyone has seen this play before. So, Ohio knew what was happening.
This is a quote from Ohio coaching staff with Cleveland.com: "Buckeyes immediately recognized from film study, tipped off by the motion of the wide receiver.
"That was the only 2-point conversion play that we saw on film," Hines said. "We saw it over and over again, and we worked on 2-point plays in practice a little bit each day, and it was only one play."
Coach's know that you have a player who is will to go the extra mile to win. Please learn his skill as well as your plays!
Keep us jumping Ricky :)
