Navy adjusts to find right offensive alignmentPublished 11/26/09
Navy's coaching staff has spent all season tinkering with the interior offensive line, starting four different players at right guard and two different players at center. Naval Academy athletics beat writer Bill Wagner and host Dave Broughton, both of The Capital sports department, take a look at the upcoming game against Hawaii on Saturday, November 28.
"Obviously, we continue to work to find the right combination out there," offensive line coach Ashley Ingram admitted. Ingram and head coach Ken Niumatalolo hope the latest configuration is the last. Sophomore Eric Douglass has taken over as the starting center, which has allowed senior Curtis Bass to shift back to the right guard spot at which he started all 12 games of 2008.
