Navy officials yesterday dropped the most serious charges against a midshipman who was accused of drugging and raping two women and instead will try him for indecent assault and conduct unbecoming an officer. Find Us On Facebook
Meanwhile, the case against former quarterback Lamar S. Owens has finally reached the desk of the academy's superintendent. Vice Adm. Rodney P. Rempt will hold a closed hearing in the coming days to decide whether to allow Midshipman Owens to graduate and become an officer or boot him out of the Navy.
