Naval Academy unveils sexual harassment prevention programPublished 10/26/07
The Naval Academy unveiled its new sexual harassment prevention program yesterday, saying the mandatory classes are an effort to teach midshipmen in a structured setting what is and is not permissible in today's military.
"We are setting the stage for what their conduct should be here at the academy - people come from all walks of life, and we don't know what they think is acceptable and don't, so we set the bar, we tell them what it is," Cmdr. Ricks Polk, the academy's sexual assault response coordinator, told a panel of reporters.
