Naval Academy Alumni CEO steps downPublished 03/10/08
The CEO of the Naval Academy Foundation and its sister group the Naval Academy Alumni Association has resigned.
George P. Watt Jr., a 1973 graduate of the Naval Academy, was away on vacation this morning and was not available to discuss his resignation. He has headed the academy's two alumni groups since March 2000.
Mr. Watt sent an e-mail this morning, telling academy alumni of his decision to resign effective this summer. He did not give a specific reason for stepping down, but said he and his wife, Peggy, "have been talking and dreaming about writing the next chapter in our lives." "It would be selfish to...
