Mids eager to tackle all-too-brief down time

Some local Naval Academy midshipmen talked last week about their pending graduation and commissioning on May 23, and spoke of what they want out of life.

"A grill and some nice juicy steaks," said Midshipman 1st Class Steven DeLeonibus of Millersville.

Midshipman 1st Class Lindsey Slyman, an English major from Annapolis, added, "I am looking forward to my own place, and making cookies … in my own house."

"I want to get a dog, a mutt," said Annapolis resident Midshipman 1st Class Robert Sise.
