One of the Naval Academy's most popular spring traditions has survived attempts to scale it down.
After saying that the annual Herndon Climb might involve fewer plebes this year, the academy officials have determined that all members of the class will participate.
The event scheduled for next Thursday will have more safety officers in place and greater crowd control than in past years, an academy official said yesterday.
