The 2nd class midshipmen took what tools they had and waded knee deep in muck and a rising tide along the shore of the county's scenic wildlife sanctuary to repair riverside walkways.
"It is great to have volunteers help us with some of our park's projects," said Mark Garrity, the county parks administrator who was on hand to welcome the crew. "Especially these mids. They are hard working. Given a task they go to it and get it done."
