Disability Day helps raise awarenessPublished 08/24/05
Shopping centers are usually designed to make shoppers stop and look. This weekend, a local group wants them to stop and learn. The Anne Arundel Commission on Disability Issues will host its annual Disability Awareness Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Centre at Glen Burnie. The event will showcase resources available to Anne Arundel County's estimated 115,000 disabled residents and their caretakers, while educating the public.
