Hospital needs blood donations
PAROLE -- Anne Arundel Medical Center's blood bank is experiencing a severe shortage of all types of blood, especially type O positive.
Unlike other hospitals that purchase blood or use donations from the Red Cross, the hospital's blood bank relies solely on its own in-house blood supply. Currently the inventory contains about 50 percent of the normal supply AAMC prefers to have available at all times.
The blood bank is open for donations from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Mondays, from 8:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Thursdays and from 7:15...
