Fireworks show set for Kent Narrows

KENT ISLAND - Fireworks will light up the sky over Kent Narrows July 4, as Queen Anne's County government and local businesses join forces and funds to create a 300th anniversary Independence Day celebration to include family fun, food, and of course, the fireworks.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Chesapeake Exploration Center, on the northwest side of the Kent Narrows off Piney Narrows Road. Participants can enjoy music, children's rides and roving performers. Vendors will sell treats, such as sno-cones, baked goods and beverages.
