ANNAPOLIS - County school officials are close to filling every vacant teaching position with about a week to go before classes begin.
Only 38 positions remained open as of today, said Florie Bozzella, the school system's director of human resources.
She's still looking for teachers in "critical shortage" areas like special education. But the district is fully staffed in math, an area other nearby school systems are having trouble filling.
"We're very pleased with the quality of teachers that have come through," Ms. Bozzella said.
