Annie Awards honor six artistic individuals

The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County last night honored six county individuals who have made lasting, significant and inspiring contributions in their respective fields.

The ceremony recognized them in the areas of Visual Arts, Literary Arts, Performing Arts, Education, as an Arts Patron and Lifetime Achievement. This year's recipients are:

  • Visual Arts: Charlotte Berry, of Edgewater, who works primarily as a figurative and portrait artist. While earning her master of fine arts degree, she directed her primary artistic focus toward portraiture. She regards the portrait as an art form in which the artist captures a...
