Arundel senior triumphs over brutal attack in past

It's hard not to smile in the company of 17-year-old Crofton native Michelle Ogden.

The teenager is a beam of sunshine.

She click-clacks down the old terrazzo tiled hallway floors of Arundel High School in stratospherically high-heeled leopard print pumps adorned with puffy black suede bows. Her black two-piece cotton outfit is smoothly cinched with a broad mock croc leather belt. Her jewelry and nails are perfect.

Even with her novel mop of tousled two-tone hair, she looks like an administrator or an executive. But she's a student - a senior with no sign of senioritis.
