Boys and Girls Club 'Youth of the Year' nominees chosen

Membership in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County has been a lifeline and safety net for many county teenagers.

And for five local youth, it is also a chance to win a college scholarship.

On March 20, during the clubs' 18th annual Ed Casey Youth of the Year Awards Dinner, their lives, volunteer work and achievements will be cele-brated as one of the highlights of the evening.

The dinner is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club at Wiley H. Bates Heritage Park. House Speaker Michael Busch, D-Annapolis, will serve as master of ceremonies.
