The Glen Burnie man at the center of a high-profile zoning dispute must chop more than 4 feet off of the top of his garage to comply with county regulations, the county Board of Appeals ruled last week. The county Department of Inspections and Permits followed "clear-cut zoning regulations" when it revoked a permit issued to John Getz of Nolview Court, the board wrote in deciding the issue. It rejected Mr. Getz' arguments that the county was at fault because its planning department erroneously issued a building permit and that his garage should be allowed to stand.
