Navy Seaman Apprentice Patrick J. Barry, son of Susan and Timothy Barry of Severn, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training and was meritoriously promoted to his current rank at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Seaman Barry is a 2005 graduate of Old Mill High School of Millersville.
