Somewhere at home Kathryn "Katie" Sears has a varsity letter jacket. The fuzzy "A" on her jacket is already crested with varsity pins and bars, each representing a season in a varsity sport.

Annapolis High senior Katie Sears, 17, maintains high grades while lettering in soccer, basketball and softball. The captain of all three teams is working to not only raise the scores of the teams, but also to raise the self-esteem of girls at her school. By the end of her senior year at Annapolis High, twelve objects will be sparkling on that big varsity letter. She is currently triple-lettering in Panther girls varsity soccer, basketball and softball. Plus, this school year she is serving as the captain for all three teams.
