Music is Mary Rosekrans' lifeblood. It permeates her life, even when she's dressed in a Chick-Fil-A cow costume, dancing on the curb.

Performing on her Box Stradivarius trumpet, Arundel High senior Mary Rosekrans, 17, of Gambrills, shows off her playing style in the entryway to the school’s band room. Mary is wearing a sweatshirt from her future alma mater, Towson University.In addition to occasionally wearing a set of fake cow horns at her longtime, part-time job, Mary wears a lot of hats at Arundel High School where she is a senior. "Mary is truly the voice of Arundel," said Erin Arnold, school counselor. "Through her leadership and dedication to Arundel High School over the past years, she is now one of the morning announcers, a coveted position here."
