About two dozen residents from around the region flocked to the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary in south county on March 14 to plant inkberry, sweet pepper, river oats and river birch in a garden they helped design at a teach-in last month.
"All of you likely live within a half-mile of a stream," Julie Dieguez, the schoolyard habitat specialist for the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education, told the group the first day....
