Brothers arrested in shooting dispute PasadenaTwo feuding brothers went too far Friday night, sending one to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with a pellet gun wound and the other to the hospital with a laceration, police said. Police were called to 452 Riverside Drive in the Indian Vil community for reports of a shooting around 5:30 p.m. There they found bothers Kenny and Glen Meyer, who in an apparent argument over a cell phone, ended up wounding each other. In the struggle, Glen, 44 took a swipe at his brother with a butter knife, cutting Kenny, 45, on the hand. Kenny, armed with a pellet gun, then shot his brother in the shoulder, said county police Lt. Tim Walker. Glen was taken to shock trauma, and Kenny was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Both were treated and released. Police arrested both on first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment charges. Kenny was also arrested on first- and second-degree attempted murder charges for shooting his brother. Their mother, home at the time of the incident, told police the two just needed a good talking-to. Man's leg stuck in boat propeller MarleyA 40-year-old man got his leg stuck in a boat propeller yesterday afternoon, county Fire Department officials said. Rescuers were called to 1702 Furnace Drive in Marley at about 4:30 p.m. A boat, the dive team and other equipment were dispatched for the rescue. By the time they arrived at 4:53 p.m., the man had freed himself from the boat. Bystanders were making sure the man kept his head above water, said Lt. Stuart Peters, a county Fire Department spokesman. The man was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Peters said. He said he did not know what kind of boat it was or how the man got stuck. More farmers markets starting AnnapolisYou can add two more locations to the list of markets offering local food and goods. The market will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 17. Just a few blocks away, the West Annapolis Business Association is starting a Neighborhood Green Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month, beginning this Sunday. The Neighborhood Green Market will be held on Giddings Avenue between Ridgely Avenue and Annapolis Street. That section of Giddings Avenue will be closed to traffic and turned into a pedestrian walkway during market hours. The Neighborhood Green Market will run through November and will feature produce, plants, locally grown products, green crafts, and vintage and antique wares. That dude got an attempted murder charge for popping his brother with a pellet gun, I hope the statute of limitations has run out on me and my brother when we popped a few back in the day. I guess the difference is that we were like 12 and these guys are in their 40's. Sort of funny, but surely not to them!
