A 380-mile 'Ride for the Rivers'Published 08/31/09
Late last summer, Dr. Clifford Andrew hopped on his Trek cyclocross bike and pedaled a solo, 380-mile trek to raise money for a local land-preservation group.

Dr. Cliff Andrew, left, Hallie Andrew, Amalie Andrew and Dr. Bill Hunter are now on their way to Pittsburgh on a bike trek designed to raise money for the Scenic Rivers Land Trust, which is working to preserve land in Crownsville that sits at the headwaters of the South River.This year, the Severna Park neurologist has company on his journey, dubbed the "Ride for the Rivers." His two adult daughters and a fellow physician are coming along for the trip, which began Saturday in Washington, D.C., and ends Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
